E4E Minneapolis for TYSN: Saturday, December 8
posted: Wednesday, November 28th, 2012This month, get fired up to support trans youth.
Your supper money will support the Trans Youth Support Network, or TYSN, a partnership of youth and community members working together to support trans youth* in Minnesota. TYSN works to promote racial, social, and economic justice for trans youth – and it does this by building power among transgender youth.
TYSN partners with institutions that impact the lives of trans youth, like shelters, schools, and clinics, and supports them to make lasting change so that their services are more accessible to young transgender people. TYSN’s newly-launched Leadership Development Program trains young transgender people to be leaders in their communities by developing their skills as facilitators, trainers, event planners, outreach workers, and community organizers.
And you’ll get to enjoy the fire-dancing of InSphyre, which inspired a fiery feast…
