E4E Seattle for Queer Youth Spaces: Saturday, May 11
posted: Wednesday, May 1st, 2013This month, join us on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. to raise money for Queer Youth Space, an all-ages safe community space in Capitol Hill for queer youth and their allies to find work, engage in cultural and artistic activities, and socialize with their peers and community while challenging heterosexism through transformative justice. We are so excited to benefit this organization!
Last month, you joined us for dinner and raised $700 for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance! Thank you, and let’s do it again this May! After dinner, stick around to get your dance on! Local DJ Justus Kovac will donate his time and sounds for this dinner, so don’t be shy to stay for dancing!
You’ll feast on:
- homemade bread
- balsamic roasted carrots
- Bluebird Grains Emmer Farro or quinoa salad with spring greens, asparagus, and feta
- pizza (meat versions with Uli’s Famous Sausage, and vegetarian, gluten- and dairy-free versions)
- rhubarb lemonade
- assemble-your-own strawberry shortcake
This dinner is being hosted by Sherwood Cooperative.
If you’re interested in volunteering by picking up and dropping off groceries and equipment, setting up for the dinner, greeting guests, helping out in the kitchen, or cleaning up after the dinner, please fill out our volunteer sign-up form:
All are welcome to this private party, but please RSVP. Like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
