E4E Minneapolis for Africa Classroom Connection: Saturday, March 23
posted: Friday, March 15th, 2013This month, build community while building schools.
Your supper money will support Africa Classroom Connection and its work building schools in South Africa. Its work in education helps mend the wounds of Apartheid and empower young people to grow and develop as full participants in society. Africa Classroom Connection works closely with villages to build each school – the village makes a contribution, local citizens build the schools, and the organization deeds the schools to the government, which furnishes and staffs them. Africa Classroom Connection has helped build 3500 classrooms in 800 villages, and, since its board members cover all administrative costs, every dollar donated goes to building schools. You are also welcome to join us this fall for an annual Learning Tour to visit the schools, go on safari, and learn about African culture and history.
We’ll enjoy an African feast…
Beef or Vegetarian Bunny Chow (no bunnies were harmed in the making of this South African curry)
Couscous Salad
Bright Citrus-Cabbage Slaw
Malva Pudding
Ginger Beer
and more…
